NRA Basic Shotgun Course
This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills,
and attitude necessary for the safe and proper
use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target. It
covers Shotgun Knowledge and Safe Gun
Handling, Ammunition Knowledge and the
Fundamentals of Shotgun Shooting, Firing the
First Shots, a Shotgun Shooting Skills
Practical Exercise, and Shotgun Games and
Activities. A written test will be administered at
the end of the course.
Graduates of this course will receive an NRA
Basic Shotgun Course Certificate, Wallet Card,
and all course manuals.
This is an NRA approved course that is governed
by the National Rifle Association. Several drills
were added to elevate the level of
understanding and marksmanship skill. This
course is 10-12 hours in duration and can
usually be completed in 1-2 days.
Each student will need to provide their own
serviceable shotgun, 100 rounds of ammunition,
ballistic glasses, and hearing protection.
Shotguns and or ammunition will be provided if
necessary.
Investment: $125.00 Per Student. Family
discounts of 3 or more are available.
